Welcome to Real Health !
An integrative, holistic, restorative reproductive medicine practice
At Real Health, we are committed to restoring reproductive health in a way that identifies and corrects the underlying causes of dysfunction. We respect the desire of patients to have reproductive health care that encourages understanding of their own fertility. For reproductive age women, we seek to restore normal ovulation and promote therapies that work in cooperation with the natural cycle. We empower our patients through understanding their health, and do not employ methods that are inherently suppressive, circumventive or destructive.

Conditions we treat

We offer root cause diagnosis and integrative therapies

Infertility and Pregnancy Loss
For couples struggling with infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss, we offer comprehensive evaluation of both partners. We focus on restoring reproductive function and metabolic health, and supporting natural conception. There may be undetected metabolic, hormonal, autoimmune, infectious and other issues that are treatable in cases of “unexplained” infertility.

Cycle and gynecological problems
We treat gynecological problems including irregular and heavy menses, polycystic ovarian syndrome, painful periods, absent or abnormal cycles, seeking to restore normal ovulation for adolescents and reproductive age women. We identify underlying causes and, when necessary, employ bioidentical hormonal treatments. Cycle charting is an integral part of diagnosis and treatment.

Perimenopause and menopausal transition
For women over 35 and beyond, we seek to improve health by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, optimize blood sugar and gut health, and balance hormones. An individualized plan is developed including lifestyle medicine, nutritional supplements, bioidentical hormones, and medications according to the needs and desires of the patient. The goal is total health, not merely elimination of symptoms.

Other women’s health conditions
We treat other conditions impacting optimal health. These include thyroid dysfunction, blood sugar dysregulation and insulin resistance, obesity, HPA axis dysregulation (adrenal fatigue), postpartum depression, and issues related to the vaginal and gut microbiome. Second opinions are offered for gynecologic conditions.

Our Approach
We regard the human body, conception and birth as miracles. In diagnosing and treating reproductive and other conditions, our process is evidence based and holistic – treating the whole person – body, mind and spirit. We favor thorough hormonal, metabolic and nutritional testing, using functional, genetic, and advanced microbiome assessment when required. We use pharmaceuticals, hormones, nutritional supplements and lifestyle medicine in a personalized program, honoring the needs and preferences of the individual patient or couple. When necessary, referrals for surgery are offered. The goal is restoring and optimizing health and function.
